We take privacy and the security of your payment very seriously. ShoeBeDoo uses a SHA-256 bit secure encrypted connection (Secure Socket Layer – SSL) technology to encrypt and protect your data. This encryption tehcnology is between your web browser and our website to transmit your credit card details directly to our online payment provider, FatZebra.

FatZebra securely communicates with the banking network to conduct the transaction, and confirms whether the transaction has been successfully completed. Our website does NOT process or store your credit card details, although FatZebra stores a part of the credit card number to facilitate the reconciliation of orders.

How can you be sure FatZebra is secure ? Well, Fat Zebra is a PCI DSS Tier 1 certified service provider. Each year Fat Zebra conducts and passes a yearly audit from a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) – conducted independently by PCI Consulting Australia. The comprehensive audit covers 12 different requirements including physical security, the storage and transmission of credit card data, data security, and more as set by the PCI Security Standards Council. In addition to yearly audits, Fat Zebra scans their infrastructure for any vulnerabilities and an external scanning vendor checks for any problems in their website, dashboard and gateway.

For more details on Fat Zebra’s security practises please visit their website at: https://docs.fatzebra.com/docs/overview-1

For more details on the PCI-DSS requirements please visit the PCI-DSS website at: https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/

You will also notice when you look at the URL at the top of your web browser, you will see that it begins with a https instead of a http. Oh yes, this means you are in a secure mode on a secure site.
