Paul Green Specifications
- Handmade in Europe
- Italian leathers and components
- Lightweight
- Flexible
- Each pair of Paul Green shoes is created in up to 160 steps, carefully crafted, tested, and finished. For lasting comfort and inspiring quality.
Sustainability
- Leather sourced from LWG Leather Working Group tanneries, a global organisation and community commited to building a future with responsible leather practices
- Paul Green never process real fur, or leather from endangered animals. Instead, they print or emboss leather to achieve the exotic look, source shearling, merino, and sheep wool from non-mulesing farms, or go with faux fur or vegan liner materials
- Paul Green work with external testing institutions to confirm that their shoes meet the highest standards for sustainability and quality
- Paul Green has been an LWG member since 2023, and 90% of the leather they use is sourced from LWG-certified tanneries, a percentage they are constantly working on increasing
- PFI (Prüf- und Forschungsinstitut Pirmasens), the Test and Research Institute Pirmasens which is the leading independent testing institution for the shoe industry. You’ll notice the PFI Eco Label on Paul Green products, illustrating that the chemical, physical, biotechnological, and microbiological properties of the materials Paul Green use have been tested and passed the standards set by the PFI. Additionally, the label shows Paul Green’s compliance with environmental policies in their supply chains and waste management, along with occupational safety and social standards.
- Paul Green’s commitment to social and ecological responsibility goes beyond the materials they use to make the shoes. Their boxes are made of materials that can be fully recyclable, including water-soluble ink, something unique in the shoe industry. They’re green for a reason!
- Thanks to a 500 kWp photovoltaic system installed on Paul Green’s green flat roof, they generate approximately 400,000 kWh of electricity per year at their headquarters in Mattsee, Austria. This means that the annual electricity generated by their photovoltaic system is, in theory, equivalent to the electricity demand of the Mattsee site.
- The company grounds also feature a wildflower meadow spanning approximately 1,000 m². It provides a habitat for plants and insects while also offering Paul Green employees the opportunity to spend their breaks surrounded by nature.
